White House Bridge – B22
Luray, VA
This $11.3 million bridge-replacement project on Route 211 over the South Fork of the Shenandoah River will upgrade the existing 1947 structure for Page County and the Virginia DOT. Located four miles west of Luray, VA, the project requires a detour shifting all traffic onto the eastbound bridge for complete demolition and replacement of the westbound structure. A heavily-used boat ramp under the bridge will be temporarily located adjacent to the project so that the local community still has access to the river. The project consists of 40,000+ cubic yards of imported fill, nearly 2,500 cubic yards of concrete, and over 350 tons of structural steel. With a 30-month duration, the project is expected to be completed in the summer of 2022.
